To say 2009 was quite a year would be a profound understatement. Many of you, myself included, endured layoffs, reduced salaries, and all sorts of undesirable things. I’m optimistic this year will be much more prosperous than last year.
Even if 2009 wasn’t the best of years, looking back at the last decade is rather humbling. Ten years ago I was just getting my start in my start in the CAD industry. Then I was a modest entry-level CAD Technician with a small MEP firm. At the time my hourly salary was only about $0.25/hour more than I made as a bagger at a local grocery store. Still, I remember being “that guy” who was eager to learn every tip and trick anyone was willing to share with me.
