Autodesk University 2020 Registration is Now Open

We are roughly two-months away from an Autodesk University like none other before it. This year, instead of bringing 10,000+ people together for a three-day conference in Las Vegas, Autodesk is going digital!

Like so many things this year, the decision to go digital was made due to the health and safety concerns associated with gathering 10,000+ people in Las Vegas for a week in the middle of a global pandemic. While I will personally miss the networking and fun of the typical in-person AU experience, I do feel the decision to take the entire conference online was the right one. As much as I will miss seeing longtime industry friends in-person, I am very excited that by going digital, this year should be the most attended Autodesk University in history!

Typically, depending on when you register to attend, the cost to attend Autodesk University is about $1,750 plus hotel (~$1,300) and travel expenses. All in (conference, hotel, and flight), it is reasonable to budget $3,500-$4,000 to attend Autodesk University in a typical year.

But this year is anything but typical.

In this most atypical year, the cost to attend Autodesk University is $0!

Of course, while Autodesk has made the cost to attend Autodesk University 2020 free, you still need to register to attend. This week, Autodesk opened registration for this year’s conference. The process is quick and painless. In fact, it was so easy, I booked my flight at the same time I registered for the conference!

While you can’t yet register for classes, Autodesk University 2020 will still offer over 750 classes from the top experts in the industry. Among those, once class registration does open, you’ll be able to choose from over 350 live Q&A sessions, panels, and roundtables.

Among those, I am excited to be part of the Autodesk University facility for a 14th consecutive year. This year you can join me for my class “AutoCAD Tips, Tricks, and Dazzling Drafting Techniques.” While a very different presentation experience, I am very excited about some new opportunities this year’s conference provides for both speakers and attendees alike.

All-in-all, while the conference will be unlike any other before it, Autodesk appears poised to deliver an outstanding digital experience for all who attend!
