I know this is an old post, but I want to give it a bump. I recently discovered your site and I've been reading through a few of the older posts when I came across this one. I too am an Eagle Scout and Brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow. I really appreciate your continued dedication to your lodge, which is apparent with your Vigil Honor recognition. I am also very pleased that you have pointed out the specific skills, abilities, and mindset that make Eagle Scouts and Order of the Arrow members an outstanding asset to any company. I am proud to have earned these acheivements in my life and I'm always glad to hear of others that are successful and proud about them as well. I had already decided to continue following your blog, but knowing that you're a fellow Eagle makes it a little more satisfying.

This is an excellent post, I am a fellow Eagle Scout, and a member of the Order of the Arrow. I got my drafting badge and that was the start of a beautiful friendship with Autocad. I wish that more people were open about the boy scouts. "IF YOU HAVE NEVER SERVED, YOU WILL NEVER LEAD."

Danny,

I just stumbled onto this "Excellent" post. As you may know from reading my stuff or hearing me speak, I am in full agreement with the perspective that a true leader is a servant first. Everything grows out of the persons character.
