I know this is an old post, but I want to give it a bump. I recently discovered your site and I’ve been reading through a few of the older posts when I came across this one. I too am an Eagle Scout and Brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow. I really appreciate your continued dedication to your lodge, which is apparent with your Vigil Honor recognition. I am also very pleased that you have pointed out the specific skills, abilities, and mindset that make Eagle Scouts and Order of the Arrow members an outstanding asset to any company. I am proud to have earned these acheivements in my life and I’m always glad to hear of others that are successful and proud about them as well. I had already decided to continue following your blog, but knowing that you’re a fellow Eagle makes it a little more satisfying.

I too am a fellow Eagle Scout, and a member of the Order of the Arrow. I’m always glad to see people who are not affraid to claim that they are still and always will be an Eagle Scout.

This is an excellent post, I am a fellow Eagle Scout, and a member of the Order of the Arrow. I got my drafting badge and that was the start of a beautiful friendship with Autocad. I wish that more people were open about the boy scouts. “IF YOU HAVE NEVER SERVED, YOU WILL NEVER LEAD.”

    Danny,

I just stumbled onto this “Excellent” post. As you may know from reading my stuff or hearing me speak, I am in full agreement with the perspective that a true leader is a servant first. Everything grows out of the persons character.
