Civil3D.com has in many ways become the go to place for just about all things Civil 3D. I personally view the many posts able to be found there as a testament to the way I regard the company (Engineered Efficiency) behind the blog so many of us Civil 3D users frequent. Especially since getting to know much of the Engineered Efficiency team, I have come to admire each of them for being much more than just a bunch of trainers trying to make a buck, but instead true stewards of the civil industry as a whole.
In moving from a production role here at Timmons Group to my current CAD Management role, I have had the great fortune to work alongside one of the best mentors a young professional such as myself could wish for. Since assuming my current role as Design Systems Specialist, Eric Chappell has been that mentor for me. Like any great coach, he has at times let me fall on my face, but more importantly, he has let me learn the CAD Management profession. For that I will always be grateful.
While Eric and I have retained a working relationship, it is with a heavy heart I congratulate him as he continues his career with Engineered Efficiency. Although Eric may prefer to say it differently, he is a CAD Geek by every stretch of the imagination. Like the other members of EE, Eric fosters a superior knowledge of Civil 3D, and combines that with a true passion to share that information with others. With Eric now at EE, I sincerely hope many of you will now have the opportunity to learn from yet another top-caliber member of the EE team!
