Back towards the end of March I wrote in a post titled “Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 Release Dates” that the release date of Design Review 2008 was April 17, 2007. Apparently our friends at Autodesk decided to be nice and release Design Review 2008 a little early. As some may recall back in February Autodesk made Design Review 2007 a free download. Prior to February 1, 2007 Design Review (formerly DWF Composer) was $199, or as those of us not in sales like to call $200. Quite honestly even at $200/seat (whoops $199) Design Review was worth the investment, but FREE is always better. At my firm, Timmons Group, a number of our users have found it to be useful especially when collaborating with branch offices. Regardless, I will let you form your own opinion of the software. The new Design Review 2008 can be downloaded from the Autodesk website here.
