Land Desktop does have a "Sheet Manager" (not to be confused with AutoCAD's Sheet Set Manager) that is quite difficult to setup. My recommendation would be to look into the Plan Production tools introduced to Civil 3D 2008. Plan Production is much easier to setup, and IMHO much more versatile than the older Sheet Manager tool from Land Desktop.

The only automated way to do this is with the Plan Production tools within Civil 3D. Although I do not have a post outlining the process, Autodesk has done a great job outlining the use of Plan Production in their Civil 3D help documentation. Just do a search for Plan Production, and you should find exactly what you need.

Not a problem. As you have probably noted I blog about more than Civil 3D. A blog I enjoy is www.Civil3D.com. The folks running that blog are super helpful and a real pleasure to work with.
